Heart of Missouri Girls on the Run is a life-changing, non-profit prevention program for girls in the 3rd through 5th grade. Their mission is “to inspire girls to be joyful, healthy, and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running.”

Boys and Girls Club of Columbia

In every community, boys and girls are left to find their own recreation and companionship in the streets. An increasing number of children are at home with no adult care or supervision. Young people need to know that someone cares about them.

Baltimore Child Abuse Center

The mission of Baltimore Child Abuse Center (BCAC) is to provide victims of sexual abuse in Baltimore and their non-offending caretakers with comprehensive forensic interviews, medical treatment, and mental health treatment with a goal of preventing future abuse.

Dreams to Reality

The mission of Dreams to Reality is to help low-income women of mid-Missouri to meet their employment goals and build self-confidence by providing appropriate interview and business apparel, motivation and follow-up support.
Located in Jefferson City, Mo., Dreams to Reality was established by a group of local professional women who recognized that lack of interview and work apparel was an obstacle for employment. Dreams to Reality does not only seek to assist women in obtaining interview and work apparel, but more importantly to assist them in improving their self-esteem and ultimately enhancing their quality of life through employment and financial independence.

Granny’s House

Granny’s House is a safe, nurturing place where public housing kids can come each day after school to see values, manners and God’s love in action. They provide loving arms, a safe place to play or do homework and an atmosphere of hope and calm in an all-too-often chaotic world.

Granny’s House has as vision to reach the children of Columbia’s inner city before their lives are shaped by destructive behaviors or become entangled in the legal system. They truly believe there is a “window of opportunity” now to make a permanent and very real change in their lives.

Central Missouri Honor Flight

Central Missouri Honor Flight is a non-profit 501c (3) organization created solely to honor America’s veterans for all their sacrifices. The group transports our heroes from throughout Central Missouri to Washington, D.C., to visit and reflect at their memorials at no cost to them. Since their inception in 2009, they have transported over 1500 veterans to Washington on 26 flights.

Missouri Health Care for All

Missouri Health Care for All is a non-partisan, statewide movement of more than 130 faith and community organizations and more than 8,000 Missourians who have endorsed a set of shared principles. Their principles affirm, based on faith and moral values, that every Missourian should have access to quality, affordable health care, no matter where they live or how much money they make.

Their movement works to advance their shared Principles by educating members of the endorsing organizations and the public and by taking action on behalf of policies and practices that are consistent with their principles.

St. Raymond’s Society is an interfaith, non-profit organization that partners with pregnant and newly-parenting women by providing resource and promoting self-sufficiency.

Missouri Retired Teachers Foundation

Foundation formed by the Missouri Retired Teachers Association (MRTA). It is a tax-exempt not-for-profit organization devoted exclusively to carrying out certain charitable, educational, scientific and literary purposes which include the following:

  • To foster a spirit of respect, loyalty, and enthusiasm among retirees.
  • To conduct activities and service projects which advance the cause of public education and the teaching profession in Missouri.
  • To award grants and scholarships to students enrolled in teacher education programs, to active teachers and to support personnel to extend their professional training.
  • To perform other humanitarian endeavors consistent with the Foundation’s Bylaws and Articles of Incorporation.
